About Us

Bay Haven Senior Care Community, a family owned and operated company, has been delivering resident focused quality long term care and retirement living for over 40 years.

In 1969, the Strandholt Family purchased a small nursing home. Their commitment to providing compassionate individualized care for seniors resulted in expanding the nursing home to meet the needs of the community. In 1985, Bay Haven Retirement Lodge was added and in 2002, Bay Haven Retirement Suites were added adjacent to the nursing home. Bay Haven continues to be a local, family-run business with the second generation managing the day to day operation of the home.

Bay Haven’s vision of continuously striving for excellence in long term care and retirement living is supported by strong leadership, a talented management team and caring, dedicated staff and volunteers. Residents of Bay Haven call it home.

Bay Haven is a member of the Ontario Long Term Care Association (OLTCA), the Ontario Retirement Communities Association (ORCA) and has been accredited by the Canadian Council of Health Services Accreditation since 1981.
